IAA: pioneering new products and live demonstrations at SAF-HOLLAND

SAF-HOLLAND will be providing a preview of the future of commercial vehicles at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018: The specialist for axles and fifth wheels will be presenting new products at hall 26, stand A06 while also focusing on its digital products fo r fleet operators. Different live demonstrations at the exhibition booth take IAA visitors into the world of the commercial vehicles of tomorrow.

SAF-HOLLAND is driving the digital networking of commercial vehicles and logistics chains and connects mechanical components with sensor systems for its innovations. “With our products and systems, we make the transport world of tomorrow more efficient and more sustainable. IAA 2018 once again provides us with the perfect platform for presenting our intelligent mechanical and digital solutions for trucks and trailers,” announces SAF-HOLLAND CEO Detlef Borghardt.

Activity areas at the SAF-HOLLAND stand

Individual activity areas at the exhibition booth effectively present the combination of mechanical components and sensor systems. A live demonstration impressively illustrates how the SAF Adaptive Air Damping – damping completely without

hydraulic dampers – works. At the IAA, the supplier of commercial vehicle parts also covers the trend towards autonomous driving and the hydraulically driven SAF INTRA TRAK axle, which is now in production.

Takeovers expand the SAF-HOLLAND Group

The expanded SAF-HOLLAND Group is another topic for the supplier of commercial vehicle parts at IAA. In 2018, the company acquired the majority stake in the Asian York Group, the Italian coupling expert V.ORLANDI and the British telematics and connectivity specialist Axscend. This allows SAF-HOLLAND to expand its international presence and strengthen its competence in coupling systems and digital solutions. The SAF-HOLLAND Group will be able to make better use of synergies in the future and further increase the quality of its products and services. SAF-HOLLAND and V.ORLANDI have already come closer together at IAA, literally: The two stands are directly opposite each other.
